oooo floating orb…

wow check out the Fiat Lux Lamp from Constance Guisset and Gregory Cid, it’s switch is a spherical orb which floats beneath the lamp when the light is on. When removed from it’s magnetic orbit the light switches off and the “switch” can then be stored magnetically on the side wall of the lamp. me likey.

you had me at float.

Pendleton meets Opening Ceremony…

Check out the lookbook for the new collaboration between Pendleton and Opening Ceremony.  I got one word for the collection – plaid.  Spreckles likes the “backpack” jacket, as do I.  I luv luv luv  fall, but winter I could maybe shorten by a month or 3, so looking at upcoming spring stuff works for me.

rent this…

So I just saw 500 Days of Summer, and I must say it’s made it’s way from “movie I wanted to hate” to  one of my new favorites.  The movie’s contemporary romantic sensibilities give it an “Eternal sunshine” feel while it also reminds me of “Magnolia” and “Big fish” also. Did I mention Miss Zooey Deschanel stars in it? I also like Joseph Gordon Levitt choices in films lately as he’s come a long way since “Third Rock.” So if you are off work and on the couch and wondering what to rent. check check check it out. then let me know what you think….

Rogues Gallery for John Bartlett…

I really enjoy the collaboration between menswear designer John Bartlett and Rogues Gallery. The collection mostly consists of wallet/pouches and t-shirts.  I like the bear wallets and plaid pouches.
