It’s been 5 years since Broken Social Scene have released an album, and it appears Forgiveness Rock Record was more than worth the wait.
I was lucky enough to watch a taping sunday night of Bravo’s At the Concert Hall series, and it was aaaamazing. The band had been rehearsing alot but admitted to have not performed any of the new tracks in front of an audience. (although they just did Letterman!) The back-up vocalists and horn section were added as late as the day before! To see 17 people collaborate on stage together was incredible.
But don’t take my word for it NPR is streaming the album online until the album’s release May 4th.
