Sometimes there are purchases in life that are purely nostalgic. For example wearing that favorite “retro band shirt” transports you back to the time when you first heard a favorite artist or band. I recently found myself PVR-ing “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and was lucky enough to acquire a pair of Air Jordan III Retro 88s.
“Sneaker culture” and politics aside, these are arguably the most iconic sneakers in the game. These are of course the shoes Mister Michael Jeffrey Jordan wore when he won the 1988 Dunk contest in Chicago. Basketball has been, (and continues to be) a huge part of my life and I gotta say these kicks still get me excited. I guess you can’t help but reminisce about the days when all you wanted to do was play sports, there was something really “pure” about that kind of love.
