at the moment
Collection: Givenchy. Pre-Spring 2014.
Designer: Riccardo Tisci.
Just when you thought that the all-over camo, floral, graphic print look had reached a plateau, Mr. Tisci’s Spring 2014 collection for Givenchy takes all of them and puts them together- literally. Does it work? you be the judge….. Personally I’m seeing a lot of “familiar” looking prints– the camo looks very much like one Trussardi 1911 used a couple season’s back, the florals look a lot like some of the Engineered Garments and Supreme pieces released over the last little while and the faded camo looks alot like the colorway Comme Des Garcons Shirt has used, while some of the cuts appear reminiscent of some Junya Watanabe shirts, and one of the graphic sweatshirts looks a lot like this Baroque -inspired sweatshirt by Katie Eary. But then again everything is a remix right?
Collection: Levi’s Made and Crafted. Spring 2013.
I’m always interested in what inspired a collection so when Levi’s Design Director
Steve Zhizou Miles Johnson speaks about the influences of the Spring 2013 Levi’s Made and Crafted line, well I listen. Absolutely love the pocket stitch move. Any piece that gets better with age always gets my vote.
